Vision

Our vision is of a society in which children represent their own interests. Because they can.

Mission Statements

  1. We help children to be strong and equal members of society so that they are able to help shape that society with their creativity and competence.

  2. As initiator and promoter, we are committed to the implementation of children’s rights as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

  3. We are the forum for every multiplier, expert, practitioner and decision maker who is actively involved in childrens' environments.

  4. We are a strong community of members, partners and donors, which we continually seek to strengthen.

  5. We pursue our goals as a charitable, independent and non-government organisation.

Corporate Identity

  1. The "competent child" is the focus of our activities. We are convinced that children are independent personalities with a multitude of abilities.

  2. We strongly believe that the participation of children is the key to a democractic society.

  3. A fundamental principle of our ethos is respect for the personality, dignity and the rights of all human beings. We act to ensure that every child in particular experiences this.

  4. We actively advocate the protection of children's rights and are outspoken at their violation and at infringements of childrens' interests.

  5. We are open towards the wishes and needs of other people. It is with the best information possible that we respond to inquiries from children and adults alike. We welcome constructive and supportive criticism as a means to further developing our work.

  6. We are both competent and professional in our specialised field. We work creatively and innovatively on creating solutions to problems that children face today and in the future.

  7. We cooperate with government and non-government organisations. Within the scope of our resources, we offer a platform for committed individuals who campaign for a child-friendlier society.

  8. These principles also serve as the basis for our dialogue with our members, donors and private sector partners who make our work possible.

  9. We are conscious of our responsibility of ensuring the sustainability of limited natural resources and our environment. Because: The future belongs to children.

It's all about the children!
